And so it goes

In unison with my surroundings I agree
The murmur of time is wasted in too many a burst of energy
As the trees we pass
crack wearily
Momentarily
The mind runs free

But it’s been like this since the days of old
When I was born anew
What celestial century for this planet to unfold
Must be found to remember the feel of morning dew

Two spirits clashing together
Bonding over broken bones
But one grows loud, and heavy with sound
So the other seeks new homes

There is no harmony where there is peace
For peace halts humanity in their grime
I seek not peace
Would be very much at ease
With a heart matched to mine

Yet so be it with blood, a restless liquid
Through skin and mind she can link
In the end we are not so different
What she says I think
